A Home for Everyone
A Poster based on a Story of Elaine, a Daughter of Native American Activist

This poster visually acknowledges a story of a Native American woman, Elaine. I read about her story on Cowbird: A Song for My Father. She describes the US government’s practice of separating Native American babies from their parents to wipe out their bloodlines. She hasn’t seen her family since she was seven and has been homeless for most of her life. Her father is Dennis Banks, a Native American activist. She wanted to see her father before he dies and she dies of AIDS. My heart goes out to her and her family.
